About the documentary:
According to the CDC, middle-aged African Americans are twice as likely to die from heart disease, fifty percent more likely to have high blood pressure, suffer from significantly higher rates of obesity, diabetes, and even stroke when compared to their white American counterparts. For a nation with the highest per capita spending on healthcare services in the world, from whence are these disparities emanating? Could it be limited access to care? Societal ill will? Lifestyle choices? Or, is the true cause more obscure and insidious? Join us as we seek to unmask and expose what may very well be the greatest threat against black lives, and even all lives for that matter, since the institution of slavery.
